The latest lo-fi heartbreaker from Thom Southern is his first track of 2023: ‘Love Hz’. The track is delivered in his typically laid-back style, with the intentionally stripped-back arrangement and production allowing his songwriting and lyricism to shine without interference. His folky vocals and instrumental sections are simple, but beautiful in their execution. “It’s a simple folk song about the pain of heartache and not only the loss of that person in your life but the loss of who you were when you were with them,” he explains.
